Delta Dental PPO™: This is a Preferred Provider Organization plan. You have the flexibility to visit any licensed dentist, but you'll generally save the most money by choosing a dentist within the Delta Dental PPO network. These dentists have agreed to reduced fees for covered services.

DeltaCare^® USA (DHMO-type plan): This is a Dental Health Maintenance Organization plan. You typically need to choose a primary care general dentist within the DeltaCare USA network. This type of plan often has lower costs, and you'll know your out-of-pocket expenses upfront (often copayments) for procedures, with no deductibles or annual maximums.

Delta Dental Premier^®: This is a managed fee-for-service plan with a large network of dentists. These dentists have agreed to contracted fees with Delta Dental, so for covered services, you generally pay no more than your copay and deductible.

Dr. Ermias Mehretab

Dr. Ermias Mehretab was born in Ethiopia and raised in Georgia. Dr. Mehretab obtained his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Biology at Arizona State University. He went on to get his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado. Wanting to be able to provide the best care possible, Dr. Mehretab continued his development as a dentist by completing residency at St. Vincent de Paul Dental Clinic where he obtained advanced training in all aspects of dentistry including Oral Surgery, Endodontics (root canals) and Implantology.

Dr. Mehretab values interpersonal relationships while delivering comfortable and effective dental care. Outside of the office, Dr. Mehretab loves to travel and stay physically active.

Dr. Alan Sedell - Endodontist

After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia Dr. Alan Sedell attended and received his dental degree and Endodontic Post-Doctoral training from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers University). Dr. Sedell is a Board Eligible Endodontist, who has served as an Assistant Professor in the graduate dental department at Fairleigh Dickinson University, an Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, and the faculty member teaching the dental residents at the North Hudson Community Action Corporation, an affiliate of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center where he has been on staff for the past 32 years.

Dr. Sedell also served as founder and president of the Ft. Lee Dental Study Club, an AGD approved continuing education provider for local practitioners. He has been a keynote lecturer on the use of new technologies in dentistry including the Surgical Operating Microscope. Dr. Sedell has had articles published in dental journals, and is a leader in the utilization of the dental microscope in endodontic practices as well as an expert in microsurgical endodontics and root canal therapy, and has lectured on the use of 3D Cone Beam Scans to general dentists to help increase their awareness of the benefits of utilizing these hi-tech CT Scans for superior Endodontic treatment, diagnosis, and surgical planning.

In addition to having performed thousands of successful root canals, Dr. Sedell has completed over 4,000 in-office endodontic surgeries and implant placements. Our practice offers unparalleled experience and expertise. His practice philosophy has always been to apply leading-edge care to achieve lasting results and his daily mission is to surpass our patients’ expectations while improving their dental health.

Dr. Sedell is a member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Academy of Osseointegration, and the International College of Oral Implantologists and is licensed to practice Dentistry in New Jersey, New York, Colorado, and Arizona.

Additionally, Dr. Sedell devotes a great deal of his time and effort to further both his own as well as his colleagues’ knowledge and skills through comprehensive programs of advanced continuing dental education.

He has been voted one of America’s top dentists every year since 2011 by The National Consumer Advisory Board, by his peers through selection to the statewide New Jersey Magazine’s Best Dentists in New Jersey and to Bergen Magazine’s Best Dentists in Bergen County including most recently for 2021-2022.
